About IQulture
Denmark is frequently described from the outside and rarely explained from within. That gap is the work. IQulture closes it in two ways: advisory practice for the institutions that must operate here, and public discourse that explains how culture shapes politics.
Founder

Bastian Friborg writes and lectures on Nordic foreign policy, small state diplomacy, and intercultural understanding. He holds an MA in International Relations from Webster University’s Bangkok campus and a BA in Religious Studies from the University of Copenhagen, with electives in English, minority studies, and Southeast Asian studies.
The training is deliberate in its two halves. International relations supplies the machinery: alliances, institutions, the arithmetic of a country too small to set the terms. Religious studies supplies the harder question: why people act as they do, and not merely that they do.
I both advice foreign embassies through IQulture Consulting and write and speak publicly on international relations and Danish foreign policy, most visibly through IQulture Talking on Substack and the Diplomacy and International Relations podcast. That work offers a Danish vantage point on global affairs – it is analysis with a Nordic edge. It is separate from any client engagement. Consulting clients receive institutional, non-partisan guidance regardless of any position expressed in my public commentary.
